Friends of Betel in the UK have committed themselves to support Betel financially by
- paying the monthly salary bill of the 28 staff
- giving grants for training courses for the young people and staff
- selling Betel craftwork
The annual running costs of Betel are approximately £130,000, covering wages, food, maintenance and fuel costs.
Betel relies entirely on voluntary donations. There is almost no contribution from local or national government agencies.
